Do I know You, God?
Do I truly believe?
This is Your world,
Your universe.
How have I been brought here?
Did I really agree,
Or was I simply sent?
I am sure of one thing—
One day, not too far from now,
I will be doused like a candle flame.
It might happen naturally,
Or some wind may blow it out deliberately.
Certainly, I own nothing and no one;
I am just a part of something—
A grand play
Under some scheme of Yours.
I am unsure what to ask of You.
Are You even listening?
How do I speak those sacred words?
But all I truly wish to say is:
Make everyone happy.
This world is not only about me;
It belongs to others too.
Yet, make me an instrument of calmness,
So that through me, others may feel You exist,
Wearing a perpetual smile—
A faith of belief.
Sooner or later, we all must return
To the place that may be our true home.
But let this sojourn remain blissful,
Worthy enough to spread only love—
Not less, not more!
